About the organization

Centre for Legal Rights Education, Advocacy, and Development - CLREAD is Development Conscious Organization started in the year 2005, as a task force of Community Resource Persons [CORPS]. In March 2011, the organization was registered as a National NGO with Registration Number OP218/051/11- 01/6933. The organization has remained Gender-Concern and Women Human Rights Institution, with focus on Women and Children Human Rights Protection, Advocacy, and Economic Empowerment. This it does by focusing on the needs of the under-served and marginalized Women, Female Youth and Children living below the Poverty Line.


Our Vision : A society where Human Rights, Gender Equality and Equity are practically observed, respected, and protected, as key pillars for Sustainable Development.


Our Mission : To promote Gender Equality and Equity, Rights-Based Principles, Good Governance, and Respect for Human Rights, for purposes of encouraging Peaceful Co-Existence and effective Sustainable Development.


Our Goal: To improve Knowledge, Information Sharing, Communication, and Dialogue on Human Rights, Gender Equality and Equity, Culture, and Democratic Governance, so as to enhance Community Development and transform the Livelihoods in Kenya.


Our Overall Strategic Objective: To reduce the Poverty Level and Ignorance brought about by inadequate information on Human Rights, Gender, and Democratic Governance in Kenya.
