Rotaract Club of Beirut

About the organization

Rotaract is an international program for adults ages 18 to 30 who want to develop their professional and leadership skills as well as promote high ethics in order to make a positive difference in the community.

To be part of a global effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world. To be part of an international network of clubs that aim to serve the needs of their communities, widen their personal and professional contacts, and increase their understanding of the world.

Rotaract was founded by Rotary International, an association of clubs made up of service-minded business and professional leaders.

Rotaract clubs take their name from a combination of the words Rotary and action.   The Rotaract Club of Beirut is part of district 2450, which includes clubs from the following countries: Armenia, Georgia, Cyprus, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Sudan and UAE. It is one of the seventeen Rotaract clubs located in various regions in Lebanon.

The club was recognized internationally in 1985 by receiving its charter from Rotary International. Since then, members have served the community and changed the lives of other people in many ways.
